Air Date for animated short

I found out the air date for the Xavier animated short... The evening of April 9th on cartoon network. They said it would air during an episode of Xavier: The Renegade Angel.

One of the best things ever has happened!!!!!!!

A friend of mine wrote a 60 second script for a contest conducted by Cartoon Networks, Adult Swim. It was to promote their show Xavier: The Renegade Angel. It was a really funny script so I said I'd do the animation for him... The entry was rushed, the animation was crude, but WE GOT FIRST PLACE!!!!!! So my animation is going to rule the airwaves of Cartoon Network an entire 60 seconds, all across the nation, and watchable by anyone with basic cable... Not bad for an hours worth of work... I don't know the air date, but I'll post it here when I find out.

(Oh, that was rushed animation. I'm almost embarrassed, but this is too good.)

Website is back up

Hey,

After much foot dragging I finally got my personal website up again. The demo reel is still from 2007, but there's new stuff I'm getting ready to add to it.

skull model

I decided to spend some time modeling an anatomically accurate skull. I don't know if I'm going to texture it, but I think it's become a nice portfolio piece.

Modeling project

This is a character from an anime series that I like. I still need to fix the mouth area, UV unwrap, and merge the two halves. The eyebrows will be textured. I'm going to build the body next...
I hope the water marks don't bother anyone too much but I'm going to start doing that for all the stuff I post online. I'll try to keep them off to the side.

Fire ball

Last night I tried to do a asteroid burning in an atmosphere. My focus was on a billowing smoke trail. It took 2.5 hours to render on a dual core system...

Ok, after some taking it easy. (Long story) I'm hitting Maya hard and teaching myself some new tricks. This week it was learning how to make fire. Though I'm not completely happy with this first test. It's OK for a first shot.
